Sunday School is offered to children 3 years old (and potty trained) through 6th grade meeting at 9:30am each Sunday morning from September to June. Registration is free. We include a short worship service and enrichment period followed by lessons which follow the chronological order of the Bible. Sunday School also participates in local Mission Projects and Fundraisers.
Christ Lutheran Church offers a variety of Pastoral led Bible Studies each week.
Sunday Morning Classes, 9:30am in the Church: This class provides an in depth study on a book of the Bible, a topic or on current events.
Monday Morning Classes, 10am in the Undercroft (Church Basement) Like the Sunday Class, this class also delves into Biblical books, topics and current events. We are currently studying the Gospel of John in a verse-by-verse format.
Confirmation Classes, Sundays, 9:30am-10:30am The Confirmation classes are targeted for youth in grades 7-9 and study Martin Luther's Small Catechism. This class is taught by the Pastor, Deacons and Lay Teachers.
New Member Classes (held during Advent and Lent of each year when required). These classes are designed for those who wish to join our congregation, especially those coming from a non-Lutheran Background. Using Luther's Small Catechism and the Book of Concord, we explore what the Lutheran Church believes, teaches and confesses.

The Choir at Christ Lutheran Church provides beautiful choral music during the Sunday morning services. Rehearsals are each Wednesday Evening, September through May. If you enjoy singing, we encourage you to become a part of the choir. There is no audition necessary. The Choir generally alternates each week between the 8am service and the 11am service. The Choir rehearses each Wednesday evening at 7:30pm, or after Midweek Evening prayer during the seasons of Advent and Lent. Mrs. Lisa Rice is our Choir Director.
Christ Lutheran Church has an active handbell choir. Currently, the Handbell choir plays once a month, enhancing worship. You do not need to be able to read music to join the Handbell choir; all you need to do is to be able to count. We'll help you with the rest! The handbell choir meets on specified Saturday mornings at 11am. Mrs. Lisa Rice directs the Handbell Choir.
Since 1992, Christ Lutheran Church has had an active food pantry. Over the years the pantry has literally fed thousands of people in our immediate area. The pantry is open each week, Wednesdays, from 10am to 11am, and at other times when deemed necessary. Food is received through donations by congregational members, community and civic groups, Thrivent for Lutherans, and members of the general public. During the holiday seasons (Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter), the pantry provides full holiday meals on top of the weekly food distribution. The pantry always welcomes donations of food and cash; any money received goes directly to the purchase of food and supplies for our clients. There are no "overhead" costs to run the pantry; the Church provides all necessary administrative funding. The pantry is also always in need of volunteers. Even if you cannot work at the pantry during its hours of operation, we always are in need of shoppers, organizers and assistants. Much goes on during the week even when the pantry is not in operation. We give thanks to the Lord for this strong ministry in our midst! The Food Pantry is headed by Mrs. Dawn Obermeyer
Lutheran Women's Missionary League ("LWML")
The LWML Meets on the Second Saturday of Each Month at 12:00 Noon For more information contact Liz Mignerey President.
Christ Lutheran Church offers many ways of serving the Lord during worship and throughout the week.
- The Altar Guild prepares the elements for Holy Communion each week and sets the altar for Sunday Services. Each team is on for two weeks and serves several times a year.
- Ushers assist worshipers during the Eucharist by greeting worshipers as they enter the Church, providing bulletins, receiving the offering, directing in communion, and are available in case of emergencies that occur during the worship service.
- Counters serve by recording the offerings of each week and reporting them to the Financial Secretary of the Church, and deposit weekly offerings in the bank.
- Acolytes assist the Pastor during worship service in various servant roles such as lighting candles, assisting with the vessels during Baptisms and Communion, and distributing the offering plates to the ushers.
- Instrumentalists are used in supplementing the organ, playing voluntaries and, at times, accompanying the choir.
- There are many other ways to serve at Christ Lutheran Church.
